ABSTRACT:
Grease has played a significant role in the field of lubrication for many years and continues to do so with respect to reducing friction and wear. There are multiple elements and forces that challenge end-users in their application on a day-to-day basis which in turn bring out the best and optimal in grease products and their respective solutions. This presentation will review these challenges while considering the applications through a review of basic grease chemistry and associated performance parameters in meeting the necessary user-end expectations.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY:

Anuj Mistry (BSc, CSci, CChem, FRSC, CLGS) is an application engineer and joined FUCHS Lubricants Co. in 2010. He is responsible for providing technical support and sustainable performance grease solutions for automotive OEM and aftermarket segments. He began his career in London, UK at the Royal Arsenal Ministry of Defense in 1986 and as a senior scientist led multiple grease projects to support UK Military and NATO equipment operations. As an SAE AMS-M Aviation Grease Committee member he successfully helped develop and publish grease specifications for the aviation industry. Anuj has also supported multiple grease projects pertaining to Industrial, Primary Metals, Mining and Food Grade machinery uptime and value-add performance. He is active at NLGI and ELGI for many years through technical working group activity, teaching advanced & basic grease education classes and as a contributing member of NLGI HPM grease specification development committee. He is also a chair of the NLGI Working Groups and for the NLGI GPE Working Group. Anuj is a Certified Lubricating Grease Specialist, has presented many technical papers and is a recipient of NLGI best paper award on Grease Compatibility.
