ABSTRACT:
Global demand for AI, computing, cyber security, and digital services has led to the growth of data centers across the globe. As data center facilities scale up, with 40% of data center’s total energy consumption now attributed to cooling alone, the energy requirements have surged accordingly.

Liquid cooling has emerged as the transformative technology required to sustain future computing demands. Industry analysis shows that liquid cooling can significantly lower energy consumption, minimize water use, and support higher rack densities, positioning it as an essential enabler of the next wave of data center innovation. As data center growth continues to accelerate and high-density compute becomes the norm, liquid cooling is no longer optional—it is fundamental for meeting future performance, energy, and sustainability requirements.

This presentation will focus on immersion cooling in the data center space covering the following topics:

· Growth of data centers

· Why use liquid cooling

· Types of liquid cooling

· Considerations and challenges of immersion
