Member-Get-Member Program
The Membership Committee continually hosts a Member-Get-Member program to encourage prospective members to join and participate in the Chicago Section. Any current member of the Chicago STLE section who refers a new member to the section will be awarded a specially designed i ‘heart’ tribology (who doesn’t) duffle bag (pictured at upper right) and a free meal at their next Chicago section meeting. The new member also receives a free meal at their next meeting, a gift card, and an exclusive Chicago STLE t-shirt (two pictures below showing front and unique design on back of t-shirt), great incentives!
Rules for a person to be deemed a “New Member”:
1. Anyone who has not been a member of STLE before (not a former/current member of another STLE section).
2. The new member must have recently joined the Chicago STLE section, ideally after July 31st of current fall to spring year.
How the program works:
1. Any current member of the Chicago section can refer a new member and be eligible for the prizes.
2. The new section member must meet the requirements specified above.
3. The new member and/or current referring member must alert a Membership Committee member of their participation in the member-get-member program.
4. Once the new and current memberships have been confirmed with STLE headquarters, the current member and new member will be awarded the prizes.
Participation at the local section meetings by both the new and current Chicago section member are always highly encouraged.
